On this website you’ll find me writing about various subjects. I have written some posts about my life as a carer and about video games. I’ve posted pieces of creative writing, and I’ve written some general thoughts about the world.
I’ve always been a huge fan of movies. As a result, more recently, I’ve taken to posting my thoughts on movies on this site. I enjoy all types of movies, but my primary love has always been horror. From Nosferatu, through to The Fall of the House of Usher, to more modern fare, horror movies have been a big part of my life. Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Vincent Price, Barbara Steele, Edwige Fenech, Jamie Lee Curtis, Bruce Campbell and many others are all personal favourites of mine.
Understandably, some of these movies contain material that some will find distressing or offensive. I accept that. On my creative writing pages, I have posted content warnings where I feel the content may be upsetting or distressing to some people. I err on the side of caution. In my sidebar, you’ll also notice links to both mental health and carers support sites.
In the Movie Musings sections, I do comment on movies that feature distressing content. Potentially problematic content in these movies will be flagged up at the top of each review. You should expect that I may on occasion refer to this content in the review. I also occasionally use bad language myself. Some of the images I use may be upsetting, although I deliberately avoid too much nudity or gore. However, I want to be responsible and urge people who visit this website to avoid reviews of horror movies if you feel that the content might be potentially upsetting to you.
